BSO Trinity Visit

Our British Scouting Overseas (BSO) students recently visited an orphanage. This was a part of their YOU-Shape Award, which gives an opportunity to Scouts to plan a project all on their own. Our Scouts carried out fundraisers and successfully raised RM 1067.

Trinity Community Centre for Children is a registered charitable organisation set up in 2016. It is managed by Pastor Wendy. Trinity has 22 orphans and five caretakers. On the day of the visit, the older orphans will be away at a workshop. Scouts spent time with 13 children, aged 5 to 11. A catered lunch for orphans and caretakers was paid for by BSO from the money collected at the fundraisers.

There were ice-breakers, games and performances for the orphans. We also presented hand-crafted items as personal gifts for the orphans. We would like to thank parents who volunteered to coach the Scouts on making hand-crafted items.
