The Secondary Division came together on 13 October 2025 to celebrate Deepavali, the Festival of Lights, with colour, creativity, and cheer. The event began with a short presentation by two of our Year 10 students on the traditions and significance of Deepavali, followed by an energetic teachers’ dance medley that set a festive tone for the afternoon.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly the Kolam Competition, which saw 21 groups (ranging from two to five members) creating stunning, intricate designs. Students had prepared mock-ups prior to the day, before transferring them onto A3 paper during the competition and filling them with vibrant coloured rice. The concourse was soon transformed into a burst of colour and artistry, drawing admiration from everyone – students and teachers alike!
With Top 3 prizes awarded and plenty of excitement in the air, this year’s Deepavali celebration beautifully showcased the spirit of teamwork, creativity, and cultural appreciation that defines our school community.
