elc international school admission

In order to achieve the standards we have set for ourselves, we keep our School and our classes small and our student-teacher ratios low. Our class sizes rarely exceed 19 and we have set a ceiling enrolment at around 650 students.

elc International School being an English medium School, is open to Expatriate and Malaysian families.

All admissions to elc are strictly via an entrance assessment and interviews. Students are normally admitted to the School (Early Years to Year 10) at the beginning of the school year in September. All requests for admission must first be directed to the Registrar. There is no direct admission into Year 11, this is because preparation for the IGCSE Examination is a 2 year programme beginning in Year 10.   ENTRY REQUIREMENTS FOR elc Students seeking admission must sit for an Entrance Assessment. This assessment involves not only written tests, but also interviews with, one or more, senior members of the teaching staff. Subject to performance in the Entrance Assessment and availability of places, an offer of admission will be made within 5 to 7 working days. The entrance assessment normally takes two school days. Please note that elc International School does not currently have a Learning Support Unit for students with Special Educational Needs. Hence each application is considered carefully to ensure that we are able to offer an appropriate learning environment to all our students.
